Hello, my wonderful
family!!
It's been a crazy
week! So, I am glad that I wrote stuff down.
Turns out the guy who
was knocking on our door and being very not nice is not on the lease for the
apartment downstairs. Somehow I'm not that upset that the apartment managers
know about this now.
By the way, I just
realized that time is going by super fast. My halfway mark is in three months.
AH!
So, onto story time
for the week!
H and A need
to be baptized. Just saying. A didn't make it to our lesson this week
because he got called into work, but we had a great time with H. We read
the Book of Mormon with her, but she had a lot of questions about our position
on families. One of her questions was if we supported gay marriage. When we
told her that we loved them, but didn't support them, she said, "Good
answer." Blessings of being consistent with God's commandments! Wooh! We
got a Russian Book of Mormon from the Mission Office and we're excited to give
it to A. He will definitely be at our next meeting. H is coming to our
Relief Society Enrichment night on Thursday and they'll both be coming to
church on Sunday! Perfect day too! I'm just so glad we're right next to a
temple so we can talk about eternal families. Spiritual power. Boom.
E is on pause for
now. His mom was a little concerned about him wanting to be a Mormon, so we met
with her and him for a short and simple lesson. It went so well! She is very
willing to let him read and pray about the Book of Mormon. She plans on coming
to church with him on the 17th to make sure we don't sacrifice goats or
something.
Zone Conference was
awesome! Spirit filled and President Brough is still my favorite. He's amazing.
He is the perfect combination of authority, love, perfect teaching, and humor.
Mostly humor. Love him so much!
Saturday was Derby
Day! Now, people don't have an excuse to avoid us. At least not a good one. It
was really sunny and pretty. We only ran into a few drunk people, but they were
very friendly in a tipsy way. We asked a lot of people, "Who won the
race?" And most of them had no idea. We finally figured out it was
American Farrow. Not sure who won the Oaks on Friday.
So, new tune-up from
President. We will now be staying in our areas for at least 6-7 months. That's
a long time. I will probably only have three areas my whole mission. Wierd.
Won't be packing up my bags anytime soon!
Miracle story!
So, we were walking
through an apartment complex and we saw this guy standing by his door. We went
to talk to him. he didn't speak very good English so I think his name is
S'mony. I'm probably very wrong, but he was hard to understand. Anyway, we
explained who we were and what we were teaching about and he invited us right
in. (His wife was inside so it was okay).
He sat us down and
said, "This is my dream. What you said was in my dream."
Wait, what? Then all
of a sudden their phones went nuts and their computer started sending messages.
Everything distracting just happened all at once. They had to take the calls
and so they invited us back for this week.
Satan is such a brat.
He needs to mind his own business.
So...bugs. I have so
many bites it looks like chicken pox or leprosy. I have been using bug spray. I
found it in a cupboard. It's the kind that children aren't allowed to use, so I
thought it would work. Nope.
I am fighting the urge
to not scratch. Rrrrrrr. But, the weather is nice and the flowers are all in
bloom. I just hate the bugs.
I can't complain too
much though, because Dallyn has two-inch long gray centipedes that climb in his
bed and bite him during the night.
Count your
blessings.
Anyway, Sister Rammell
and I have left the 'honeymoon phase' and I want to kill her sometimes. But,
it's not that way all the time. We are getting along and she is still my buddy.
:)
I love your letters
and pictures and I miss you so much! I can't wait to see you all on Mother's
day! YAY!
All my love,
Raye!

So, I finished
e-mailing a lot faster than I usually do. And we still have ten minutes left on
our time limit.
So...we are in the
Middletown Library. I have a library card. It's pretty nifty. I can do
everything except check out books. That's the hardest part is not being able to
check out books. At least the scriptures and Ensign articles are interesting
and fun.
Sister Rammell has
this CD of a gentleman trio called Gentri. They are really cool. Josh would
enjoy them a lot! I think you can find their CD at Deseret Book. My favorite
song of theirs is "Dare". We maybe listen to that song fifty times a
day. It's a bit excessive.
Our car's name is
Vincent. Just in case I forgot to mention that.
A drunk guy hugged my
companion this week. It was quite awkward.
Alrighty, time is up.
I love you!! I am now
going to go grocery shopping with my companion. It's going to be great.
Purchasing bug spray.
Bye!!
#1-
Found this towel for our dishes. Praise the person who made this.
#2- So, I'm trying to
learn how to cook and I found a little cook book in our cupboards. Some of the
things in there were pretty hilarious.
#3- I found it. I
finally found it.
#4-
